Co-Presidents' Message

Good afternoon Mt Bethel families,

🌟 Friday's Veterans Day program ended the week in the best way! Thank you to all our Veterans, 4th graders, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Mrs. Gardner & Mrs. Trosclair, Specialists and PTA volunteers for making the celebration such a special and memorable event!

πŸ’¦ As a culminating event for their multi-disciplinary study on water, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in a Walk for Water on Friday, November 14th. Please see below for more information about this project and for the opportunity to sign up to volunteer; parent support really makes the difference.

πŸ’• Each November the MBES community works together to create Giving Bags which are distributed to families at our sister schools, Powers Ferry Elementary and Norton Park Elementary, before students are off for Thanksgiving and/or Winter Break. This year donations will be collected Monday, November 17th through Wednesday, November 19th.Β Please see your class BAND site in the coming days for more information on how you can contribute.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,

Amy Stewart & Sarah Downer

Veterans Day Slideshow

Thank you to everyone who submitted photos for this special project! The students viewed this at school, but we wanted to share it with our Mt Bethel families as well.

Thank you for sharing your loved ones with us!

πŸ’¦ MBES Walk for Water πŸ’¦

As a culminating event for their multi-disciplinary study on water, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in a Walk for Water as we acknowledge and bring awareness to the disparity in availability of water both regionally and globally. Students will complete a 1 mile walk with a gallon of water to simulate the experience of those who must walk daily to obtain water for hydration, sanitation, and survival. In addition to this, to create a service-learning experience for all MBES students, we will be raising funds to support Navajo communities in Arizona who lack access to clean, drinkable water. You should have received your child's 'Water Wallet' from their homeroom teacher -- funds will be collected November 10th - 14th. To learn more about this project, click here.

The MBES Specials Team would loveparent helpin directing our students during their grade-level walk on November 14th and/or helping to fill all of the water jugs on November 13. Thank you for your help in making this a meaningful event for your student!Sign up here!

MBES Giving Bags

The season of giving is here, and MBES is once again partnering with our sister schools through Giving Bags. Each year, our students collect nonperishable food items and basic necessities to create "giving bags" for families at both Norton Park and Powers Ferry Elementary Schools during the Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. Your donations make a real difference--helping ensure that families in our Cobb County community have what they need this holiday season. Please see your class BAND site in the coming days for more information on how you can contribute. Donations will be collected Monday, November 17th through Wednesday, November 19th.

Thank you for showing your helping hands and grateful hearts!

🌟 Buccaneer Bravos to the wonderful Lindsay B. and Erica J. for organizing and executing a fabulous Veterans Day Breakfast! Thank you to all of our veterans who joined us and allowed us the opportunity to show our gratitude for your service. 🌟

πŸ¬πŸ’• A heartfelt thank you to our students and their families for donating their extra Halloween candy. These donations will be carefully sorted and shipped in both Thanksgiving and Christmas care packages to honor and support our veterans. Β πŸ’•πŸ¬
